Learning to Learn

Art

This is called Squares with Concentric Circles by an artist called Wassily Kandinsky.

He was interested in colours and shapes within art. He has created lots of pictures using circles and squares in many, many colours.

The word concentric means shapes inside of shapes. Looking at the picture below you can see that each square has lots of circles in their middle, each of these are just a little bit larger than the one in it's centre.

Kandinsky Concentric Circles

Don't worry if you don't have any paint at home, you can use crayons, pastels or even cut out different sized circles and make a collage, you can use whatever you have access to at home.
