This week we have given each child two reading books. For homework we could like you to practice your comprehension skills.
At the top of the page we have attached our VIPERS question sheet for you to use alongside your child's reading book or a favourite book from home.

In class this week we have been identifying and describing the properties of 3D shapes. For your home learning you have a shape hunt and we would like you to look for everyday objects that are 3D shapes. You can record this using the tally chart attached. You could even describe how many faces, sides and vertices that they have.
We will also be making boats next week which the children have designed in lessons. Their boats are going to be a maximum of 30cm and we would like for you to send in recycled materials on Thursday. Please do not bring in toilet rolls or any boxes that could have contained nuts.
Many thanks for your continued support.
The Year 2 team.
